芝浦工業大学のキッズパークに遊びに来る未就学幼児のための遊具を製作した。コンセプトは、１.足底の感覚を刺激（ジャンプ・飛び移る等）し、運動・バランス力を向上、２.螺旋遊具をきっかけに自然の法則性に興味を持ち、探求心を持ってもらう、とした。製作方法は、発泡スチロールにカッターで造形を施し、上からポリウレア塗装を施す。ポリウレアは、ゴム質の塗装で滑りにくく、ケガをしにくい。造形物全体の耐久性が増すので、遊具に相応しい。実際に現場に設置したところ、想定した遊び方をしてくれる姿が多数。飛び石遊びのようにジャンプしたり、腰掛けたり、様々なスタイルで遊んでくれた。

Feeling the Texture with Your Feet - Sato Hanana

We created playground equipment for preschoolers visiting the Kids Park at Shibaura Institute of Technology. The concept was twofold: first, to stimulate the soles of the feet (through jumping, hopping, etc.) to improve motor skills and balance; and second, to spark curiosity about natural laws through spiral-shaped play equipment, encouraging exploration. The manufacturing process involves shaping expanded polystyrene with a cutter and applying a polyurea coating on top. Polyurea is a rubber-like coating that is slip-resistant and reduces the risk of injury. It also enhances the overall durability of the structure, making it suitable for playground equipment. When installed on-site, many children engaged in the intended play activities, such as jumping like stepping stones, sitting on the structures, and exploring in various styles.
