筒抜けという名前のパーティションです。「結」というテーマに対して、空間を分けながらも反対側を垣間見ることによって結ぶことを表現しました。斜めにカットしたパイプは一定角度から見ると向こう側が見え、それ以外の角度では見えなくなります。例えば、話に集中したい時は見えない角度で、ラフな話し合いでは向こう側が見えるところに立ち周りの雰囲気を取り入れることができます。空間を柔らかく仕切って、TPOに合わせて人と人、空間と空間を結ぶことのできるパーティションです。大空間を小空間に区切って使うオフィスや学校への設置を想定しています。この作品は日本インテリアデザイナー協会主催「次世代を担うデザイン展」で優秀賞を受賞しました。

Tsutsunuke - Motonori Katsuyama

This partition “Tsutsunuke” is named after a Japanese idiom, which means if there is no bottom of pipe, everything goes through. It separates the space but it makes the other side visible through the pipes in some directions.Pipes are not placed vertical so the view changes depending on your position. *This piece got the Excellence Award in 2018 at “the Design for the Next Generation Exhibition” sponsored by the Japan Interior Designers’ Association.
